Satay Seasoning Mix

• Ingredients: sugar, baked coarse peanuts, spices (chilli, tumeric, cumin, mustard, coriander, lemongrass, onion, kaffir lime leaves), maltodextrin, salt, dextrose, thickener, hydrolyzed vegetable protein (soybean, maize, maltodextrin), flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), anticaking agent, acidity regulator.

Directions for use:

1. Chicken Satay -
2. Mix the content of Packet A with 1/4 cup coconut milk, marinate with 1/2kg chicken strips for 1 hour.
3. Thread the chicken onto skewers. and grill untill done.
5. Satay Sauce -
6. Empty the contents of Packet B in a small pot, add 3/4 cup coconut milk and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
7. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir fry untill the oil seperates.
9. Cucumber Salad -
10. Mix 4 tablespoon vinegar, 5 tablespoon sugar and 3/4 teaspoon salt. Heat untill sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
11. Arrange sliced cucumber, chilli and shallot in layers, pour the mixture over and serve.
